ANOTHER PRODUCTIVE WEEK
It was another busy and productive week for Fur Face Boy. Nothing but good news to report! It's crazy how the power of word of mouth spreads. One person tells another person, that other person tells 5 other people, those 5 other people tell 25 other people and those 25 other people tell 100 people, etc., etc! The word has spread to the point where I got a band to help represent Fur Face Boy! Say hello to John and Brennan of Zombie At Heart! Residing from Boise, Idaho, this power punk-pop duo puts you in a daze with their daydreamy lyrics and brings you back to reality with their quirky subtleties. Right now, they have a 6 track EP out, which is available for purchase at the iTunes music store. My favorite track from the EP is "When I'm Good, You're Bad; We're Better" thinking about it really...excuse me I got an eyelash in my eye **sniffle. Anyways, I really believe that these guys have the talent to totally make it to the top! I've been keeping intouch with them and they're real cool guys too! Let's hear it for Zombie At Heart everybody! ZOMBIE AT HEART! (Applause)...next up are my buddies Nathaniel and Mayra. They attend Booker T. Washington, the local Arts Magnet High School. Nathaniel is an absolute genius on the guitar! And Mayra mixes and matches vintage clothes from thrift stores to create mind boggling ensembles! Well, I work with Nathaniel's mom and she told me that Nathaniel was selling some art for a fundraiser that he and Mayra were involved with. I told her I was interested in checking this art out and the next thing you know instead of buying the art I'm trading Fur Face Boy shirts for it! Here's Nathaniel and Mayra...ahhhh, young love.
There were so many amazing art prints to choose from. But in the end, I decided on picking Mayra's "Eat Happy Animals" screen print! Nathaniel also busted out his guitar and started to shred a song about Fur Face Boy...nah, just kidding.
Turns out that if Nathaniel and Mayra sold enough art prints, they would receive enlightened twine blessed by THE Dami Lama! They already made enough sales to get the enlightened twine. Hmmm...no wonder they were willing to make a trade with me. YEA! NO WONDER!
As Nathaniel, Mayra and I parted ways I gave them a few more Fur Face Boy shirts so that they could give away at their school. I'll post an update next week to see how that goes...during the rest of the week I got many more Fur Face Boy designs completed as well as finally getting in a new style from my screen printer! I'm still working on the web revamp, web store and tons more other Fur Face Boy stuff. Everyday, I make it a goal to do atleast a small tad of something for Fur Face Boy. Whether it may be calling someone to check up on status, or doodling a new idea, or handing out a shirt, or making a connection through myspace, or packing my lunch to work rather than buying a lunch to save capital...every little tad matters! Have a looksy at what I'm currently working on...
On Sunday, I finally got away from Fur Face Boy work so that I could clear off other things that needed to get done. Things like...grocerey shopping!

And lastly, I finally got some much needed laundry taken care of! It's always good to get away from the computer screen and get some blood moving in the body rather than forming scoliosis and carpel tunnel from huntching over my desk all day. But now that I've gotten all that other stuff done, I can get back to huntching over my desk all day! Yay?
Oh yea, one more thing...some of you may know that I've set a goal to have 1 Fur Face Boy shirt represented in each of our beautiful united states. As of right now I have 14 states down. So if you're just now reading this and realizing that you're in a state with no Fur Face Boy representative, give me an email to let me know and I'll be sure to send you your TOTALLY FREE Fur Face Boy shirt! To anybody who is supposed to get a shirt, please be patient. I usually make my rounds to the post office every Monday.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE PAST WEEK
With each passing week, Fur Face Boy continues to grow! First things first, BETTY SANCHEZ, YOU ARE AWESOME! One day in College Park, MD while surfing the web, beauty school student Betty Sanchez stumbles upon Fur Face Boy. She emails him and the next thing you know she gets free Fur Face Boy shirts mailed to her and now she's on this very site! Betty's a great gal and has been a fan since day one! I definitely see more FREE Fur Face Boy shirt's in her future! Chant it with me now...BETTY, BETTY, BETTY, BETTY, BETTY, BETTY...

I definitely ain't no millionaire and this Fur Face Boy thing takes money to stay afloat, so I had to sell some of my most precious and beloved items this week. **tear. First thing I parted with was my collection of worn Air Jordans. It's even hard to type this out without remembering the oh so many great times I had in my Jordans. From the first time I kissed that girl while wearing my XIV's to the last time I kissed that girl wearing my V's. How I landed that job wearing my X's, The taste of the most delicious candy apple I've ever eaten as I wore my II's, going to the hospital to stitch up my sliced up finger in my IX's, breaking neck's wearing my XI's...*Sigh* one day, I'll be reunited with all of you again...one day. *sob* *weep* ~sniffle~sniffle...I might as well start breaking in my III's now...~sniffle~
Next to go was my Guitar Hero collection. I had such great times and memories playing these games. Damn you Pantera's Cowboy's From Hell, now I will never know the feeling of 5 starring you! You win....for now.
I had alot of old Apple displays sitting around. They had to go not just because I need the money, but also because they literally took up like 50% of my room!
Aside from selling stuff, I also continue to do my freelance graphic design thing to raise some more capital. This is a logo I did for my photographer friend, the highly motivating and inspiring Miss Amanda Marie. At first glance it's a basic outline of a camera, but look closer and you'll realize Amanda's initials make up this camera! Do you see that "A" and "M" laying on it's side? No? Here's a clue...it's the darker shade of purple. Alright you found it! Now give yourself a pat on the back!
You guys remember the lovely Mrs. Jessica Sanchez? If not, scroll down to JANUARY 31, 2009 to read up on her. Anyways, she needed me to do a logo for her up and coming clothing label...Non-Fiction. I went ahead and went the techno graffiti-esque route. I was happy and she was happy. What more could we ask for?
A friend of mine from work is in charge of her neighborhood society's annual "Home Tour, Brunch and Silent Auction" deal and wanted me to whip something up for her. The theme to this year's look was "A Palette of Homes" so I just went with the first thing that came to my mind (a paint palette) and worked up this gem of an invite. TA-DA! So over the week, I was able to rake in some more money towards more Fur Face Boyness. Though it was hard parting with the things I love and hard squeezing time into my schedule to get some side projects done, I made it a point to because that's what Fur Face Boy is based / made from...my love and my time.
Aside from Betty Sanchez, Myspace and gaining capital, The Shogun Crew gave me a first hand sneak peak tour of SHOGUN! I can't say enough just how outrageously, sonic boom badass their set up looks! Look for EXCLUSIVE SHOGUN ONLY Fur Face Boy shirts there in the future! Check it out! The shop's bound to be opened up anytime now. Tick, tock, tick, tock...
One last note...I also made time to watch the NBA All-Star game. EVERY YEAR I make time for it. Although the game was somewhat entertaining it wasn't nearly as entertaining as JabbaShaq's pre-game introduction! I truly believe hand's down that Shaq is the greatest 7' dancer on the planet!

MAIL!
During the last couple of days I started to receive a few emails about Fur Face Boy. None bad, all just from curious people from around the country (even one from England!) excited about the brand. Their excitement got me excited, I want them to grow with the brand, so I decided to ask for their shirt size and their mailing address...a Fur Face Boy shirt will be arriving in their mail box within the next few days. Everything, TOTALLY FREE! I still have a few shirts left, so maybe (just maybe) you can still email me in time to get a free Fur Face Boy shirt mailed to you too.
Shirts were individually bagged in zip-lock freezer bags. Each bag had a personalized handwritten message. One day I hope to have my own bags.
I have no idea why people wait in the longass lines at the post office? The Automated Postal Center is somehow ALWAYS overlooked...oh well, good news for me I guess.

MY SUPER SUNDAY
As Super Bowl XLIII wages on, it's no partying, hi-fives, burgers, nachos and beer for me (well, I did order a pizza). Instead, I sat in my room with the game on and continued to work on more Fur Face Boy designs. Though the Steelers are the overwhelming favorite, I'm really wanting the Cardinals to win because there's no way I want the Steelers having more Super Bowl titles than my beloved home town team, (and America's team) the Dallas Cowboys.
